Ms. Subhadra in her 30s a sole bread earner of her impoverished family was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Subal Kumar Basu who came forward to support her financially had to marry Subhadra although being 30 years older than her as Subhadra refused to take aid from a non-relative. The battle with Cancer started until it all ended in 2005 when Subhadra left for the heavenly abode. Mr.Basu then started to spend his savings to help Cancer patients and in 2010 he formed Subhadra Memorial Trust as a memorial of Subhadra which primarily focussed on generating awareness towards Cancer since if detected early Subhadra might still be alive. Mr.Basu may no longer render his services to the trust due to age and ill-health but the New Trustees depicted below have vouched to carry on his Legacy
